The County Government of Nandi is seeking to recruit Water Operator II (4 Posts) to support its water and sanitation services. The role involves the daily operation and maintenance of Sewage Treatment Plants to ensure efficient environmental management and service delivery.
Responsibilities
Plant Operations: Operate and maintain Sewage Treatment Plant components including screen maintenance, degritting of channels, rodding of filters, and maintenance of all treatment ponds.
Monitoring: Monitor and record flow rates and electrical performances of plant equipment.
Reporting: Prepare operational reports and maintain accurate record-keeping of plant activities.
Maintenance: Carry out minor repairs and routine maintenance of machinery and plant systems.
Safety & Compliance: Promptly report any faults or abnormalities at the plant to the supervisor for action.
Requirements
Must possess a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) qualification with a minimum mean grade of D (Plain).
