Key Responsibilities

• Laboratory Oversight: Manage all laboratory sampling and testing activities to ensure the execution of the fuel supply plan (including Diego Garcia) in compliance with base documents and technical directives.
• Compliance & Standards: Ensure adherence to current versions of MIL-STD-3004, NAVAIR 00-80T-109, TO 42B-1-1, and other regional directives or instructions.
• Quality Assurance: Provide technical expertise in fuel-related quality assurance processes and ensure all testing procedures are conducted accurately to meet operational requirements.
• Documentation: Maintain and document accurate records of fuel sampling and testing results to ensure regulatory and procedural compliance.
• Procedural Development: Support the creation of operating procedures and technical guidance related to fuel testing operations.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with program management, leadership, and key stakeholders to ensure the accurate execution of the fuel quality plan.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks that could impact the integrity of fuel storage, handling, and distribution.

Requirements

• Experience: At least five (5) years of experience in sampling and testing bulk fuel.
• Technical Knowledge: Proven working knowledge of fuel testing standards including MIL-STD-3004, NAVAIR 00-80T-109, and TO 42B-1-1.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related scientific discipline is preferred.
• Documentation: Must possess a valid passport (valid for a minimum of one year at the time of hiring) and be able to travel internationally.
• Medical: Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for the duration of deployment.
• Environment: Prior experience in an austere OCONUS (Outside the Continental United States) environment with a multi-national workforce is preferred.
• Driver's License: A valid country driver’s license is preferred.
• Skills: Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills; understanding of the fuel supply chain, including storage and handling practices.
