The Medium Voltage Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating the installation, maintenance, and repair of medium voltage electrical systems. This individual will lead a team of electricians to ensure operational success and compliance with safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supervising, coordinating, and actively participating in the installation, maintenance, testing, and repair of medium voltage electrical systems and equipment.
Leading a team of medium voltage electricians in performing system maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
Planning and assigning daily tasks, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely project execution.
Reviewing and ensuring compliance with wiring diagrams, blueprints, and specifications.
Ensuring all tasks are carried out following workplace safety guidelines, codes, and best practices related to medium voltage installations and repairs.
Conducting regular safety briefings and ensuring the team's adherence to strict safety protocols and procedures.
Preparing and maintaining reports and records of work progress, inspections, testing results, and maintenance schedules.
Communicating effectively with supervisors, team members, and other stakeholders to address technical or safety concerns.
Providing mentorship and leadership to team members to enhance their skillsets and operational efficiency.
Minimum Requirements
Successfully completed a three-year apprenticeship program in the electrician trade or a related field.
A minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Medium Voltage Electrician prior to assuming the role of a foreman.
Proven leadership experience managing teams in medium voltage electrical operations.
Strong knowledge of medium voltage electrical systems, including installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Familiarity with industry-standard safety procedures, regulations, and electrical codes for medium voltage systems.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be in possession of a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
Passport must be valid for a minimum of one (1) year or more at the time of hiring.
Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for the duration of deployment.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced certifications in medium voltage systems or power distribution.
Prior experience in an austere OCONUS (Outside the Continental United States) environment with a multi-national workforce is preferred.
Valid country driver’s license and passport.
Experience in supervisory roles within electrical maintenance teams or utility operations.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
