Vestas is seeking a Site Supervisor to join our team in Nairobi. Vestas is the energy industry's global partner on sustainable energy solutions, designing, manufacturing, installing, and servicing wind turbines across the globe. As a Site Supervisor, you will be a safety culture ambassador, leading and developing an operational team to execute contractual obligations and optimize site and asset performance. You will be responsible for delivering on core metrics such as safety, production factor, and planning execution, while serving as the primary focal point for both internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Safety and Values: Act and behave through Vestas core values: Simplicity, Collaboration, Accountability, and Passion. Serve as a safety culture example and ambassador.
Team Leadership: Lead and develop an operational team to ensure high performance.
Operational Excellence: Execute contractual obligations and optimize site/asset performance. Deliver company expectations on core metrics including Total Recordable Injury, Lost Production Factor, Direct Costs per Megawatt, and Planning Execution.
Stakeholder Management: Coordinate and be a focal point on behalf of the site with internal or external stakeholders, including contractors, Vestas Technical function, supply chain, continuous improvement, and lean teams.
Requirements
Engineering degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related fields.
Valid driving license.
Fluent in English.
Significant experience in similar positions within a renowned international company.
Competencies and Skills
Sense of responsibility-based leadership.
Ability to work under challenging and complex environments.
High communication skills.
Comfortable with IT tools (Hardware/Software).
Ability to work in remote areas on a rotation-based pace.
