Job Description
Nexus Staffing Solutions is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to support project planning, cost control, and site coordination across a range of projects including renovations, repairs, and remodeling of residential and commercial properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial aspects and technical documentation to ensure project efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Project Assessment: Conduct project scoping and site assessments on behalf of the company.
Documentation & Tendering: Prepare and manage tender documents, quotations, and cost estimates.
Cost Control: Monitor project costs to ensure budget compliance and analyze project performance to provide office-based insights.
Site Management: Conduct site visits to assess progress and quality of work.
Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and clients, and represent the company in project meetings.
Administration: Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all projects.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
Experience: 1 - 5 years of experience in the construction industry. Experience specifically in waterproofing and renovation works is a significant advantage.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction processes, cost management, and the ability to prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and tender documents.
Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant construction tools.
Competencies: Attention to detail, strong communication and negotiation skills, and effective problem-solving abilities.
