The Legal Officer will be responsible for providing legal advisory services, managing regulatory compliance, and mitigating legal risks for the County Government. The role involves drafting legal documents and representing the Public Service Board in various legal forums.
Responsibilities
Advising on legal issues, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation strategies.
Drafting, vetting, and negotiating contracts, agreements, and legal documents.
Representing the Board in Court or tribunals.
Managing lawsuits filed by or against the Board, including liaising with external advocates to develop strategies.
Monitoring compliance with statutory requirements and maintaining legal records.
Conducting research and preparing legal opinions.
Requirements for Appointment
A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized institution.
A Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law.
Membership in the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) in good standing.
Possession of a current practicing license.
