Liberty Life Assurance Kenya is seeking a Claims Analyst to undertake retail and corporate claims processing. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the timely settlement of claims in accordance with Liberty Life's management guidelines. This involves analyzing documentation, registering new claims, establishing liability, and providing excellent customer support throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities
Claims Processing: Process claims accurately and timely as per provided guidelines to meet customer service standards.
Documentation Analysis: Analyze submitted documents to ensure credibility and compliance with Liberty Life processing guidelines.
Registration & Liability: Promptly register new claims, acknowledge receipt, and analyze files to establish liability.
Claimant Advisory: Advise clients on insurance coverage related to their claims and respond to internal/external inquiries.
Records Management: Maintain accurate claims registers and ensure data integrity in records management for easy accessibility.
Reporting: Prepare quality reports and registers for meetings in a timely manner.
Suspense & Disbursements: Manage maturity/surrender suspense, process pension claims, and handle related payments like withholding taxes and provider fees.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Insurance or a business-related field.
Certification: Professional qualification in Insurance (e.g., LOMA, ACII, AIIK).
Experience: At least 2 years’ experience in claims, underwriting, or pension administration within the life insurance industry.
Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of insurance operations, concepts, and regulatory requirements.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in claims procedures and financial management.
Soft Skills: Excellent organizational, stakeholder management, and customer service skills.
