The Business Processing Officer role involves contributing to the effective oversight and execution of the company’s business processing operations. The primary objective is to ensure that all activities align with the organization’s strategic objectives, maintaining high standards of documentation and customer service in the insurance sector.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Documentation & KYC: Ensure completeness of insurance documentations (KYC), including accurate details in proposal forms, fully filled Group application forms, COI, CR12, PIN Certificates, and checklists.
Premium Processing: Process premiums for schemes in the system as per the provided quote, ensuring they tally with the manual invoice shared with the client.
Underwriting Support: Process underwriting documentation and ensure all introduced schemes have been reviewed and approved by the underwriter.
Departmental Support: Respond to inter-departmental queries and complaints in a timely manner and support the credit control team in adhering to policies and procedures.
Membership Management: Manage deletions, additions, member lists, and deactivation letters, ensuring instructions are received from the scheme contact person.
Medical Scheme Administration: Prepare virtual medical cards, manage activations/deactivations, and set up new medical schemes (member lists, underwriting summaries, etc.).
Customer Service: Resolve customer complaints/issues/concerns in a prompt and professional manner, escalating to relevant departments where necessary.
Record Keeping: Maintain and update renewal trackers, card trackers, and upload documents to SharePoint.

Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge and Experience
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
Qualifications
Degree in Insurance or a business-related field.
Professional qualifications (CII or IIK) or good progress toward them.
