Tutorial Fellow - Nutrition & Dietetics

Key Responsibilities

• Teaching: Provide instruction in the area of specialization in accordance with the curriculum up to the Bachelor’s level.
• Learning Materials: Prepare comprehensive teaching and learning materials for students.
• Examination: Set, invigilate, and mark university examinations and assignments.
• Research: Conduct research work under the guidance and supervision of senior academic staff members.
• Student Supervision: Supervise undergraduate student projects and other experiential learning programs.
• Reporting: Prepare detailed student progress reports.
• Academic Output: Prepare publications and/or books to advance knowledge in the field.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Academic Credentials: Must possess a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree from a recognized and accredited university in Nutrition & Dietetics or a relevant field.
• Doctoral Pursuits: Must be registered or registerable for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).
• Professional Status: Must be registered with a relevant professional body (where applicable).
• Regulatory Registration: Must be recognized or registered by the relevant regulatory body where applicable.
• ICT Skills: Must show evidence of proficiency in Computer Applications.
• Potential: Demonstrated potential for university teaching and/or research.

• Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
• Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
• Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
• Directorate of Criminal Investigation (Certificate of Good Conduct)
• Registered Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
