United States International University - Africa is seeking successful candidates for Adjunct Faculty positions in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS) for the Summer 2026 session. Reporting to the Chair of the Department of International Relations, candidates will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and contributing to the department's academic mission.\n\n### Role Overview\nThe primary purpose of this role is to provide engaging and high-standard academic instruction to undergraduate and graduate students in the fields of International Relations and Political Science. Adjunct faculty are expected to mentor students, contribute to curriculum updates, and participate in the university's research and service culture.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n- Develop and deliver engaging lectures and seminars at undergraduate and graduate levels.\n- Design and update curricula to align with current global events and trends in international relations.\n- Supervise graduate research including projects, theses, and dissertations.\n- Support and mentor students in their academic and career endeavors.\n- Participate in program assessments and academic reviews.\n- Engage in research within one's area of expertise.\n- Participate in service to the University, the profession, and the community.\n- Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Chair.\n\n### Requirements and Qualifications\nCandidates must meet one of the following two tracks:\n\n\n- A PhD in International Relations, Political Science, or a related field from an accredited university.\n- Registration (or eligibility for registration) with the relevant professional body.\n- At least 3 years of university teaching or relevant industry experience.\n- Added advantage: Proficiency in digital technology for teaching and learning.\n\n\n- A Master's degree in related areas from an accredited university.\n- A minimum of 3 years' teaching or industrial experience in the relevant sector.\n- At least twenty-four (24) publication points as per CUE Standards & Guidelines (2014), with 16 points from refereed scholarly journals.\n- Active registration for a PhD program in a relevant field.\n- Registration with the relevant professional body.\n\n### Personal Attributes & Competencies\n- Self-motivated and highly disciplined.\n- Command of the subject area and lesson planning skills.\n- Strong ethical and professional conduct.\n- Ability to manage ambiguity and technological changes.\n- Excellent communication, listening, mediation, and research writing skills.\n\n### How to Apply\nInterested applicants must provide:\n1.
