Job Description
Thika Technical Training Institute is seeking to recruit a qualified and dedicated individual for the position of Transport Officer (TTTI/BOG/TS/14/06/2026) - TTTI JG 6. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the transport operations, fleet coordination, vehicle maintenance, and dispatching tasks within the institute.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Manage and coordinate daily transport operations and vehicle dispatching.
Ensure regular maintenance, mechanics, and repair of the institute's motor vehicles.
Oversee logistics, planning, and supply chain aspects related to the transport department.
Analyze transport operations data to optimize route planning and fuel consumption.
Lead and supervise the transport team, displaying excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ensure absolute compliance with licensing, inspection, and all traffic regulations.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements
Education: Diploma in Automotive Engineering.
Technical Skills: Proven experience in Motor Vehicle Mechanics and Repair.
Experience: Three (3) years of functional experience as a transport officer, transport coordinator, or dispatcher.
Licensing: A valid driving license (BCE/D3 license).
Compliance: Valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
Analytical Skills: Proficiency in transport operation and data analysis.
Key Soft Skills: Strong verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and team leadership capability.
Added Advantage: Knowledge in logistics management, supply chain, business administration, or a related field.
