The Social Work Trainer at Konoin Technical Training Institute is responsible for providing high-quality instruction and practical mentorship to students within the Social Work and Community Development department. This role involves bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and field application to ensure students develop necessary professional competencies.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct theoretical and practical lessons in social work and community development.
Prepare comprehensive lesson plans, schemes of work, and training materials aligned with the TVET curriculum.
Guide and mentor students during field-based practice, community engagement, and social intervention projects.
Supervise students' practical activities, including fieldwork projects and industrial attachments.
Maintain accurate records of student fieldwork, community outreach, and related academic reports.
Evaluate and assess students' competencies through exams and practical assessments.
Actively participate in curriculum development and implementation processes.
Ensure discipline, order, and professionalism are maintained during classroom and field training activities.
Requirements and Qualifications
A Diploma in Social Work or a related field from a recognized institution.
A Diploma in Technical Education or a TVET Trainer Certificate (Pedagogy).
Mandatory registration as a trainer with TVETA.
A minimum of two (2) years of relevant teaching or industrial experience.
Proficiency in computer applications and digital literacy.
