The University of Nairobi is seeking a Scholarly Communications Coordinator/Editor to support its research activities. This role involves assisting researchers in transforming complex scientific work into clear and accurate proposals, reports, and publications. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the scientific publishing process and the ability to manage multiple projects within diverse research teams.
Duties and Responsibilities
Support researchers in transforming scientific work into clear, accurate proposals and reports.
Understand the scientific publishing process: preparing submissions, managing revisions, and communicating with journals.
Work with scientific data—ensuring consistency, accuracy, and organization.
Assist in developing and coordinating grant applications, timelines, and documentation.
Maintain strong writing, editing, and project-management standards.
Collaborate across diverse research teams and manage multiple projects.
Translate complex scientific ideas into polished written materials.
