The Nairobi Women's Hospital is seeking a qualified Lecturer in Nursing to join their educational team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, assessing student progress, and ensuring educational standards are maintained in the nursing discipline.
Role Overview
The primary focus of this position is to facilitate learning through effective teaching methods, while evaluating and assessing students' understanding and competence in nursing practices. The role involves preparing future healthcare professionals for the industry through both theoretical and potentially practical application of nursing knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality instruction to students in the nursing discipline.
Assess and evaluate student performance through various examination and practical assessment methods.
Develop and update course materials to ensure relevance to current nursing standards.
Provide guidance and mentorship to students pursuing nursing qualifications.
Ensure compliance with TVET and pedagogy standards during instruction.
Requirements and Qualifications
A Degree or Higher Diploma in a relevant nursing field.
Additional specialized training in TVET Education or Pedagogy is mandatory.
A minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience in a similar capacity.
Must be registered by the relevant professional body where applicable.
