Job Description
Fidelity Shield Insurance Company Limited is a leading general insurance provider in Kenya. The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing comprehensive human resource strategies, policies, and procedures that support the business objectives while attracting, developing, and retaining high-caliber staff.### Key Roles and Responsibilities
Develop and equitably implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Kenyan labour laws and best HR practices.
Coordinate manpower resourcing in accordance with the Company’s strategic plans.
Develop and administer the Company’s long-term retention strategy.
Prepare Board papers and lead discussions in the Company’s HR committee meetings.
Oversee staff development plans, trainings, and programs to ensure staff have necessary skills and opportunities to reach their full potential.
Develop and maintain a reward and remuneration strategy to ensure the Company attracts and motivates top talent.
Oversee HR administration by establishing and implementing appropriate HR systems.
Establish efficient processes for employee relations and advise management and staff on the effective communication of HR policies.
Enhance performance management systems through the implementation of best practice methodologies.
Qualifications and Experience
University Degree in Human Resources, Business, or an equivalent qualification.
Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) or equivalent qualification.
In-depth knowledge of Kenyan Labour Laws, HR compliance, operations, and analytics.
Active membership in a relevant professional body such as IHRM.
At least 8 years of working experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar management or equivalent position.
Experience in the insurance sector is considered an advantage.
