Job Description
Platinum Credit Limited is a credit-only Micro-Finance Company licensed in Kenya under the Company’s Act. Founded in 2003, the company provides emergency loans to Civil Servants, TSC members, and employees of selected companies, delivering cash within 24 hours with swift customer service. The Human Resource Officer will support the HR function by ensuring compliance with labor laws, managing employee relations, and leveraging HR systems to drive organizational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance: Ensure all HR activities align with Kenyan employment labor laws and internal practices.
HR Systems: Efficiently manage and use Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) for data-driven HR management.
Staff Relations: Maintain confidentiality and delicately handle sensitive staff matters, including guidance and counseling.
Team Coaching: Utilize coaching skills to inspire, influence, and motivate teams toward excellence.
Stakeholder Management: Interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders, even in strenuous situations.
Decision Making: Apply good judgment and decision-making capacity to everyday HR challenges.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a relevant field.
Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management.
Must possess a valid practicing certificate from the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM).
Behavioral Competencies
Good leadership and people management skills.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
High integrity, good conduct, and a positive attitude towards work, clients, and staff.
Strong problem-solving and counseling skills.
Technical Competencies
In-depth knowledge of Kenyan employment labor laws.
Proficiency in MS Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
