Job Description
Fanisi HR Solutions is seeking a professional Travel Consultant to manage travel arrangements and provide expert advice to clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating tailored itineraries, handling all aspects of travel bookings, and identifying new business opportunities within the tourism sector.
Key Responsibilities
Advise clients on travel options, accommodations, and itineraries based on their specific preferences and budgets.
Accurately book flights, hotels, and transportation while managing all related travel arrangements.
Plan and prepare detailed travel itineraries for both domestic and international trips.
Assist clients with visa applications, necessary travel documentation, and concierge services.
Handle client inquiries, resolve complaints, and manage refunds with professional standards.
Identify new business opportunities and develop innovative, profitable tour packages.
Meet established sales targets while ensuring travel packages maintain healthy profit margins.
Support marketing initiatives, including promotions and social media campaigns.
Stay updated on global tourism trends and industry events to enhance offerings for clients.
Take full ownership of the client travel experience from initial inquiry to journey completion.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education in Tourism or a related field (BA/BSc/HND).
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Travel Consultant or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of travel booking systems and travel management software.
Excellent sales and negotiation skills with an understanding of pricing and profit margins.
Knowledge of international markets and visa application processes is highly advantageous.
Experience handling diverse tourist experiences, including safaris, cultural tours, and beach holidays.
Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple complex itineraries simultaneously.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and maintain accuracy in all client communications.
