Job Description
Our client, a leading telecommunications provider, seeks to recruit a Trade Development Representative (TDR) for the Ngong Road region, covering Kibera and Jamuhuri. The primary objective of this role is to conduct regular channel visitations to drive retailer awareness and turnaround on SIM cards and float. The representative will focus on visibility and merchandising at the point of purchase for SSOs (Sub-Stockist Outlets) and T-Kash agents.
Key Responsibilities
SSO & Agent Recruitment & Mapping: Effectively identify and recruit agents, targeting mobile money outlets and high-traffic retail stores.
Call Rate Management: Visit SSOs and Agents regularly according to agreed route plans (beat plans).
Training & Tools Delivery: Provide necessary transaction tools to SSO and agent outlets and train them on operational processes.
AML & KYC Compliance: Conduct Anti-Money Laundering (AML) training and testing for agents and train SSOs on the Know Your Customer (KYC) process regarding SIM registration (SIMREG).
Stock & Float Management: Monitor and enforce the 1.5x stock rule for agents; ensure SSOs maintain adequate SIM card stock for new registrations and activations.
Merchandising: Develop and maintain merchandising standards by distributing and placing materials at SSOs and Agent outlets.
Requirements
Academic Qualification: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Professional Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a sales and distribution role within FMCG or Telecommunications.
