Role Overview\n\nWe are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Specialist to spearhead our vocational education initiatives in the African markets. This role focuses on driving sales growth, building strategic partnerships, and enhancing our market presence in the vocational education sector. As a member of the Enterprise Learning & Skills (ELS) VQ Sales Team, you will work collaboratively with colleagues to build business in line with customer needs and provide expert professional guidance and support to your customers.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n\n\n* Lead the annual and long-range planning (LRP) strategy for growth.\n* Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets in the vocational education market.\n* Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.\n\n\n* Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including educational institutions, government bodies, and industry partners.\n* Liaise and build relevant regulatory and other recognition within the territory.\n* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment on product offerings and customer needs.\n\n\n* Deliver accurate and timely financial forecasts and commercial performance reporting.\n* Lead negotiations and close deals with educational institutions and corporate clients.\n* Prepare and present sales proposals tailored to specific client needs.\n\n\n* Conduct market research to identify potential clients and assess their requirements.\n* Monitor and report on sales performance metrics, providing insights for continuous improvement.\n\n\n* Foster a culture of high performance and accountability.\n\n### Requirements and Qualifications\n\n* A Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma (BA/BSc/HND) in a relevant field.\n* Proven experience in sales, preferably within the education or vocational training sector.\n* Strong understanding of vocational education and training systems.\n* Proven track record of delivering and exceeding sales targets.\n* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.\n* Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.\n* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.\n* Valid driver's license and access to a car as travel is required.\n* Proficiency at C1 level in English is required; B2 proficiency in Swahili or French is desirable.\n\n### How to Apply\n\nInterested and qualified candidates should submit their application through the Pearson recruitment portal on Oracle Cloud.
