Job Description
Our client, a leading telecommunications provider, seeks to recruit a Trade Development Representative (TDR) for Kisumu East. Reporting to the Area Sales Manager, the primary purpose of this role is to focus on channel visitations to drive retailer awareness and turnaround on SIMs and float while paying close attention to visibility and merchandising at point of purchase for SSOs and T-Kash agents.
Key Responsibilities
SSO & Agent Recruitment & Mapping: Effectively manage the identification and recruitment of agents, targeting mobile money outlets and high-traffic retail stores.
Call Rate: Visit SSOs and agents regularly using agreed route plans (beat plans).
Training and Tool Delivery: Provide requisite business tools for transactions and train partners on relevant processes.
Compliance and AML: Train agents on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) standards and SSOs on the Know Your Customer (KYC) process for SIM registration (SIMREG).
Stock Management: Monitor and enforce the 1.5x stock rule for agents and ensure SSOs maintain adequate SIM stock for new registrations and activations.
Merchandising: Develop and maintain merchandising standards by deploying materials at partner outlets.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a sales and distribution role within FMCG or the telecommunications industry.
Competencies: Strong customer focus, influencing and negotiation skills, networking and building partnerships, and analytical thinking.
