The Area Sales Manager is responsible for driving branch growth through the promotion, sales, and efficient processing of Car Financing and Logbook Loans. The position oversees daily branch sales operations to ensure strong lead generation, high conversion rates, and effective customer acquisition. A key responsibility is building and managing a high-performing sales team by recruiting, training, and retaining quality sales agents while guiding them in executing targeted sales activation plans. Overall, the position combines sales leadership, dealership relationship management, and operational oversight to maximize Car Financing and Logbook Loan sales performance, improve branch efficiency, and strengthen market presence.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day branch sales activities to improve efficiency and conversion of Car financing and Logbook loans.
Recruit, train, and retain quality sales agents.
Guide the team on how to develop clear, well-targeted sales activation plans.
Design and implement branch sales and marketing activation plans.
Recruit, manage, motivate, and maintain relationships with car dealerships.
Ensure fast and correct processing of client applications (applying underwriting rules correctly, identifying fraudulent customers, and ensuring timely status updates on ERP systems).
Responsible for lead generation, including timely calls and follow-ups according to established processes.
Provide and share accurate information with the team.
Undertake general administration within the branch.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Education, or other related fields.
2+ years of experience in Microfinance, specifically logbook loans and car financing management.
Proven ability in building and managing high-performing sales agent teams.
Ability to work with different teams and achieve objectives collaboratively.
Performance-oriented mindset.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
Proficiency in English and Swahili.
