Job Description
Our client, a leading telecommunications provider, seeks to recruit a Trade Development Representative (TDR) for the Kakamega CBD area. This role focuses on channel visitations to drive retailer awareness and turnaround on SIMs and Float, while ensuring visibility and merchandising at the point of purchase for SSOs and T-Kash agents.
Key Responsibilities
SSO & Agent Recruitment & Mapping: Effectively manage the identification and recruitment of Agents, targeting mobile money outlets and high-traffic retail stores.
Call Rate & Route Management: Visit SSOs and Agents regularly using agreed route plans (beat plans).
Training and Tool Delivery: Provide all requisite tools for transactions at SSO and agent outlets and train SSOs and TKash Agents on operational processes.
Compliance Training: Train agents on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) protocols and SSOs on the Know Your Customer (KYC) process in relation to SIM registration (SIMREG).
Stock Management: Monitor and effectively enforce the 1.5x stock rule for agents and ensure SSOs have adequate stock of SIM cards for new registrations and activations.
Merchandising: Develop and maintain merchandising standards by providing materials at SSO and Agent outlets to ensure brand visibility.
Qualifications and Requirements
Academic Qualification: A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a sales and distribution role within an FMCG or Telecommunications environment.
Required Competencies
