North Rift Valley Water Works Development Agency (NRVWWDA) is dedicated to developing and maintaining sustainable water and sanitation facilities within its area of jurisdiction. The agency is seeking to recruit Technicians/Engineering Assistants to support project planning, surveying, and implementation of water infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Collecting baseline data for water and sanitation planning and identifying sites for structures.
Conducting preliminary topographic, hydrological, and socio-economic surveys.
Gathering data for water and sanitation demand estimation and preparing Feasibility Study Reports.
Participating in site inspections, implementation of projects, and preparation of payment certificates.
Assisting in the development of departmental budgets and annual work plans.
Preparing project progress reports and project designs.
Engaging in stakeholder consultative forums and assessment of water/sanitation facilities.
Developing project proposals and participating in the commissioning of completed projects.
Qualifications and Work Experience
Diploma in Civil/Water/Electrical/Mechanical/Building Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
Registration as an Engineering Technician by the Kenya Engineering Technology Registration Board (KETRB).
Proficiency in relevant computer applications and technical draughting software (Auto-CAD, Civil 3D, Sewer CAD, Water CAD).
Compliance with the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya 2010.
