Job Description
Kitui County is located 170Km to the South East of Nairobi City. The County Government of Kitui is seeking to recruit qualified individuals for the position of Tailor to support hospital operations through the maintenance and production of essential textile items.
Role Overview
The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the availability and high quality of hospital linens and uniforms. The successful candidates will be responsible for the production, repair, and design of various textile items essential for hospital operations, working closely with the laundry department to maintain hygiene standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
Sewing and Repairing: Regularly perform sewing tasks and repairs on hospital linen to ensure they meet the required standards for patient care.
Designing and Tailoring: Create and design hospital wear, including uniforms and specialized medical garments.
Coordination: Working closely with the laundry department to prioritize repairs and manage the workflow of textile maintenance.
Requirements and Qualifications
Must be a Citizen of Kenya.
At least a KCPE Certificate (Kenya Certificate of Primary Education) or an equivalent qualification.
A Certificate in Tailoring, Dressmaking, Fashion & Design, or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
