Internship - Translation and Interpretation

Objectives

• Gain professional experience at the African Development Bank.
• Contribute to the Bank's pool of potential candidates for future roles.

Responsibilities

• Assist with translation and interpretation tasks within the Bank's Job Families.
• Support documentation and communication efforts in English and French.
• Use standard software packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) for daily tasks.
• Collaborate with teams in Agriculture, Human Capital, Engineering, and other operational areas.

Terms and Conditions

• Duration: 3 to 6 months. Authorized only once per candidate.
• Work Mode: Either remote or on-site based on the hiring unit's needs. Remote interns must provide their own equipment and stable internet.
• Logistics: On-site interns are responsible for travel and living expenses; the Bank assists with visas.
• Benefits: Monthly stipend and medical insurance coverage provided by the Bank.

Eligibility Criteria

• Age: Between the age of majority in country of origin and 30 years old at commencement.
• Education: Currently enrolled in a Master's degree program or graduated within the last year from a recognized institution.
• Nationality: Must be a national of a member country of the African Development Bank.
• Languages: Fluent in English or French.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office Suite; SAP knowledge is a plus.
