Supply Chain Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and coordination of procurement and supply chain management activities.
• Oversee the implementation and coordination of procurement and disposal processes within the Polytechnic.
• Serve as the Secretariat to the Procurement and Asset Disposal Committees.
• Provide expert advice to the Chief Principal and top management on all procurement-related matters.
• Ensure full compliance with the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act (2015) and its associated regulations (2020).
• Manage the implementation and use of computerized procurement management systems.
• Ensure outstanding coordination and organizational capabilities at the management level.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Procurement and Supplies Management, Logistics, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
• Advanced Education: A Master's Degree in Commerce, Procurement and Supplies Management, Logistics, or equivalent is an added advantage.
• Experience: A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant work experience, preferably within an educational institution or a similar environment.
• Professional Membership: Full Membership and a valid license from the Kenya Institute of Supplies Management (KISM) in good standing.
• Technical Skills: Working knowledge of computerized procurement management systems (e.g., CIPS).
• Leadership: Demonstrated outstanding leadership and organizational capabilities at the top management level.
• Training: Senior management or leadership training is an added advantage.
