Job Description
The Statistician for the Outreach Administration Office at Aga Khan University Hospital is responsible for designing and analyzing complex clinical and operational data. Under the guidance of the Outreach management team, you will provide critical insights to inform business decisions, prepare technical reports, and ensure data integrity across the Outreach Division.
Responsibilities
Undertake design activities and analysis of complex clinical and operational data with guidance from Outreach management.
Analyze internal and external data to inform critical business decisions and prepare technical reports and presentations (e.g., customer experience surveys).
Work with biostatisticians to create datasets for analysis using statistical programming and analysis standards.
Code, prepare, and clean data prior to analysis; assemble and analyze large datasets.
Review data to ensure consistent, accurate, and valid conclusions; identify and resolve data discrepancies.
Collaborate on the preparation of daily and monthly clinical and operational insights, progress reports, and data requests.
Support the Management Team with data required for business proposals, market research, and feasibility studies.
Design data analysis set specifications and write statistical analysis code/formulas.
Identify and resolve data quality issues or errors to maintain data integrity.
Validate output and results.
Assist in training staff and other stakeholders on datasets and data collection tools (e.g., QVR).
Present data analysis findings, key trends, relationships, and risks to leadership and stakeholders.
Implement process improvement initiatives within the Statistics function.
Maintain and archive all databases used within the Outreach Division.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Statistics or Mathematics.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position.
Vast knowledge in Statistical Analysis Software.
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
Good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain tactful, patient, and calm in stressful situations.
Neat, well-groomed appearance.
Ability to maintain records of official correspondence.
Excellent computer operation skills for online systems and computerized management systems.
Proficiency in Application Software and the MS-Office Suite.
