About the Role
Zamara is looking for a Product Owner for Digital Platforms to lead the strategic direction and execution of our digital ecosystem. You will be responsible for defining and communicating the product vision and strategy in alignment with the Group’s business objectives. This role involves developing a product roadmap that prioritizes initiatives delivering the highest customer and business value, while identifying opportunities for digital service delivery, automation, and customer self-service. You will act as the primary liaison between business units and technology teams, ensuring that digital platforms remain scalable, compliant, and at the forefront of fintech innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Product Vision & Strategy
- Define and communicate the product vision and strategy for Zamara’s digital platforms.
- Develop and maintain a product roadmap that prioritizes initiatives delivering high business and customer value.
- Identify opportunities to enhance digital service delivery, automation, and customer self-service.
- Monitor industry trends, fintech innovations, and competitive developments.
- Align product development with customer experience and digital transformation strategies.
Product Ownership & Backlog Management
- Act as the business owner of digital platforms, ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Define and manage the product backlog, prioritizing features based on strategic importance.
- Translate business needs into clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with development teams during sprint planning, reviews, and releases.
- Ensure product enhancements deliver measurable improvements in user adoption and customer satisfaction.
Customer Experience & Journey Design
- Champion a customer-first approach in designing digital solutions.
- Map and continuously improve end-to-end customer journeys across digital channels.
- Utilize CX and analytics insights to drive digital adoption and customer engagement.
Business Value & Product Performance
- Define and track KPIs including user adoption, transaction volumes, and conversion rates.
- Use data and analytics to optimize product performance and report value delivery to executive management.
Stakeholder Management & Innovation
- Act as the primary business liaison between business units and technology teams.
- Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions to gather requirements.
- Identify opportunities to incorporate emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, automation, and digital identity.
- Ensure platforms are scalable for regional expansion.
Governance, Risk & Compliance
- Ensure digital products comply with regulatory requirements and data protection standards.
- Support the adoption of responsible data practices and secure product development.
Key Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Finance, Digital Marketing, Computer Science, or related field.
- MBA or master’s degree in Strategy, Product Management, Digital Transformation or Innovation (preferred).
- Certifications in Agile, Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Product Management, or UX Design are a plus.
- 7+ years in digital product management, digital transformation, customer experience strategy, or fintech solutions.
- Proven track record in managing digital platforms or customer-facing technology products.
- Strong understanding of Agile product development methodologies.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams including technology, operations, and customer experience.
- Hands-on experience with AI-driven engagement models and data analytics platforms.
- Expertise in leveraging emerging technologies (AI, blockchain, IoT) to enhance digital products.
