Role Overview
The Senior Product Manager for Cash Management at KCB Bank Kenya is responsible for driving the monitoring and control of Cash Management products. This role ensures the successful implementation and cascade of appropriate procedures across business units while maintaining adherence to established policies, processes, and tools to achieve efficiency, compliance, and cost containment.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Monitoring & Control: Drive product monitoring and control of Cash Management products in liaison with Cash Management BDMs, Relationship Managers, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Process Implementation: Ensure implementation and cascade of all appropriate procedures in line with the requirements and process in ‘user’ units.
- Compliance & Efficiency: Ensure adherence to and application of established policies, processes, procedures, and tools to achieve optimal efficiency, compliance, and cost containment.
- Stakeholder Alignment: Manage stakeholders to ensure alignment on delivery of Cash Management products.
- Product Lifecycle Management: Review existing products and continuously improve on them; restructuring products when necessary and managing the restructuring process.
- Documentation: Formulate effective product documentation, policies and procedures, and SLAs to effectively deliver the envisaged propositions.
- Issue Resolution: Handle issue resolution in relation to Cash Management products together with the Product support team.
- Financial Planning: Contribute to the formulation of the sales budget/pricing process including concessions.
- Portfolio Reviews: Conduct regular portfolio reviews to identify areas of improvement and develop tactical plans towards achieving set risk and compliance criteria.
- AML & Sanctions: Responsible for the implementation and adoption of all Compliance, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Sanctions related requirements contained in policies and procedures.
- Market Analysis: Using available products, e-Channel & e-Commerce marketing/sales performance data, provide impactful recommendations based on internal data, external trends, and technology advancements.
- Strategic Input: Provide regional strategic input for Cash Management products.
Requirements
- Education: A Bachelors’ degree from a recognized University.
- Experience: At least 10 years of work experience in Banking, with five (5) of those years specifically in Transaction Banking or Cash Management solutions.
- Product Expertise: Vast experience in product development, support, and implementation.
- Business Acumen: Strong commercial awareness and business acumen to identify revenue generation opportunities.
- Technical Skills: Technologically savvy with an appreciation of current ICT trends.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Soft Skills: Strong persuasion, management, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Other Attributes: Integrity and the courage to challenge the status quo; experience in customer relationship management; and a creative approach to problem-solving.
