Role Overview
Tharaka Nithi County Public Service Board (CPSB) is seeking a qualified Senior Medical Specialist – Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT) Surgeon. This specialized role involves providing advanced medical and surgical care for patients with conditions of the ear, nose, throat, and related structures of the head and neck. The specialist will lead clinical diagnosis, manage complex cases, and perform surgeries within the county's healthcare facilities.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and treat diseases and disorders of the ear, nose, throat, and head and neck systems.
Perform specialized ENT surgical procedures as required.
Provide expert medical consultation and clinical leadership within the medical department.
Ensure high standards of patient care and surgical outcomes.
Maintain accurate patient records and surgical documentation.
Adhere to all professional and ethical standards as set by the Medical Practitioners and Dentist Council.
Requirements for Appointment
Be a Kenyan citizen.
Be a holder of a Degree of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB.) from a university recognized in Kenya.
Must have completed a Master’s Degree in Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery (ENT) from a university recognized in Kenya.
Registered as a Medical Specialist Practitioner by the Medical Practitioners and Dentist Council.
Have a Valid Practicing License.
Be of acceptable moral and professional standing.
Integrity Clearance
Successful applicants are expected to obtain clearance from the following bodies:
Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI)
For those with higher education certificates (degrees) from outside Kenya, a letter of recognition of qualifications from the Commission of University Education.
