Tom Mboya University is seeking to recruit a Senior Lecturer in Software Engineering to join their academic staff. This position is vital for the development and delivery of software engineering programs, conducting high-level research, and providing academic leadership within the university.\n\n### Key Responsibilities\n- Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate lectures in Software Engineering.\n- Conduct high-quality research and publish in refereed scholarly journals.\n- Supervise and mentor postgraduate students (Masters and Ph.D.) through their research and completion.\n- Provide academic leadership and mentorship to junior faculty members.\n- Contribute to curriculum development and review in the field of Software Engineering.\n- Participate in university administration and committee duties as required.\n- Engage with professional bodies and industry stakeholders to enhance the university's research and placement profiles.\n\n### Requirements for Appointment\n- Must have an earned Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in Software Engineering or a relevant field from an accredited and recognized university.\n- At least three (3) years of teaching or research experience at the university level as a Lecturer or Research Fellow, OR six (6) years of research/industry experience.\n- A minimum of thirty-two (32) publication points as a Lecturer or equivalent, with at least twenty-four (24) points being from refereed scholarly journals.\n- Must have successfully supervised at least three (3) postgraduate students to completion as a Lecturer or equivalent.\n- Must be registered with the relevant professional body (where applicable).\n\n### How to Apply\nApplications should be accompanied by a detailed up-to-date curriculum vitae, certified true copies of academic and professional certificates, National Identity Card or Passport, together with testimonials and other relevant supporting documents.\n\nQualified candidates must submit of their application, clearly indicating the reference number of the position applied for, to the address below.
