Kisii University is looking for a qualified individual to fill the position of Lecturer in Applied Mathematics. The role is centered on teaching, research, and community service, contributing to the university's mission of training high-level human resources and producing high-quality research and consultancy. Candidates will be expected to deliver academic content to both undergraduate and postgraduate students, engage in scholarly research, and participate in the administrative and professional life of the university.
Requirements for Appointment
To be eligible for appointment to the position of Lecturer, the candidate must have:
A doctorate degree (PhD) in Applied Mathematics or a relevant discipline from an accredited/recognized institution;
An MSc degree in Applied Mathematics or a relevant area from an accredited/recognized institution;
A minimum of twelve (12) research publication output points from refereed scholarly journals and two (2) points from publications in conference proceedings,
OR
A minimum of thirty-two (32) publication points if the applicant is from a research institution,
A minimum of six (6) publication points if the applicant is from practice/industry.
Evidence of recognition and registration by the relevant regulatory body where applicable;
Evidence of membership or affiliation of the relevant professional body where applicable.
