Tom Mboya University is seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Lecturer in International Relations. The successful candidate will provide academic leadership, deliver lectures, and conduct research in their field of expertise.
Responsibilities
Deliver academic instruction in International Relations courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Conduct original research and contribute to scholarly knowledge in the field.
Publish research findings in reputable refereed scholarly journals.
Supervise postgraduate students, including those pursuing Master's and Doctoral degrees, through to completion.
Participate in curriculum development and review processes to maintain high educational standards.
Engage in departmental and university administrative tasks, committee work, and community outreach.
Requirements for Appointment
Must have an earned Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in International Relations or a relevant field from an accredited and recognized university.
At least three (3) years of teaching or research experience at the university level as a Lecturer/Research Fellow, OR six (6) years of research or industry experience.
A minimum of thirty-two (32) publication points as a Lecturer or equivalent, of which at least twenty-four (24) should be from refereed scholarly journals.
Proven track record of supervising at least three (3) postgraduate students to completion as a Lecturer or equivalent.
Registration with a relevant professional body where applicable.
