Job Description
Tom Mboya University is seeking a highly qualified academic professional for the position of Senior Lecturer in Environmental Planning and Management. This role involves delivering high-quality instruction at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, conducting significant research within the field, and providing mentorship to students. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to the university's academic growth and maintain a strong profile of scholarly publications in refereed journals.
Requirements for Appointment
To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Academic Qualifications: An earned Ph.D. or equivalent degree qualification in Environmental Planning and Management (or a closely related field) from an accredited and recognized university.
Teaching/Research Experience: At least three (3) years of teaching or research experience at the university level as a Lecturer or Research Fellow, OR at least six (6) years of relevant research or industry experience.
Publication Record: A minimum of thirty-two (32) publication points as a Lecturer or equivalent, with at least twenty-four (24) of those points derived from refereed scholarly journals.
Supervision: Must have successfully supervised at least three (3) post-graduate students to completion while serving as a Lecturer or equivalent.
Professional Membership: Registration with a relevant professional body, where applicable.
