Role Overview
Taita Taveta County Public Service Board is inviting applications for the position of Senior Deputy Chief Health Administrative Officer (Ref No. CPSB/TTC/2/2026). This is a senior management role within the county's health department, offered on permanent and pensionable terms of service. The successful candidate will be responsible for high-level administrative leadership, ensuring the efficient operation of health services and facilities across the county.

Salary: Basic salary scale as provided by the Salaries and Remunerations Commission (SRC).
Responsibilities and Duties
While specific daily tasks are determined by the department, the Senior Deputy Chief Health Administrative Officer is generally expected to:
Oversee administrative operations of county health facilities.
Coordinate the implementation of health policies and strategic objectives.
Manage human resources and financial administration within the healthcare sector.
Ensure merit-based performance monitoring and reporting within health services.
Maintain compliance with national health regulations and standards.
Requirements for Appointment
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Be a Kenyan Citizen.
Hold a Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields: Sociology, Health Administration, Business Administration/Management, Public Administration, Health Economics, or any other related social science from a recognized institution.
Have a minimum of ten (10) years’ working experience, with at least five (5) years served in a management level in either the public or private sector.
Possess a certificate in Computer Application skills from a recognized institution.
Have demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in previous work performance and results.
