Job Description
Halisi Family Hospital is a multi-specialty 25-bed inpatient and outpatient hospital based in Kitengela. We are looking for a Healthcare Assistant (Locum) to assist nurses and doctors in carrying out their duties towards patients and providing non-medical care in emergency situations, in the ward, theatre, outpatient, hospitality, and housekeeping areas.
Responsibilities and Duties
Assist nursing and medical staff in performing their clinical duties and patient management.
Provide friendly, courteous, and reasonable non-medical care to patients in both emergency and routine situations.
Support operations within various hospital departments, including the ward, theatre, and outpatient areas.
Assist with hospitality and housekeeping tasks to ensure a clean and comfortable environment for patients.
Maintain high standards of patient confidentiality and care at all times.
Qualifications and Experience
Diploma or Certificate in Healthcare Support, Nursing Aid, or Nurse Assistant.
At least two (2) years of experience in a hospital setting as an orderly or care assistant.
Must be registered with the Kenya Health Professions Oversight Authority (KHPOA).
Possession of a valid Practice License.
Training in Basic Life Support (BLS) or First Aid is an added advantage.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
