We are seeking a results-driven Sales Manager to lead our business development efforts, specifically within the medical equipment and consumables sector. The primary objective of this role is to drive revenue growth and expand market share by developing strategic sales plans and leading a high-performing sales team. The role involves identifying new market opportunities across Kenya and East Africa, managing distributor relationships, and building strong ties with healthcare institutions.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy Development: Develop and implement robust sales and business development strategies aligned with overall company goals.
Team Management: Lead, coach, and manage the sales team to ensure revenue and performance targets are consistently met.
Business Development: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities across Kenya and the wider East African region.
Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with healthcare institutions, distributors, and other key industry stakeholders.
Market Intelligence: Conduct thorough market research and monitor industry trends to support business expansion and decision-making.
Product Demonstrations: Deliver compelling product presentations and demonstrations to potential clients and partners.
Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations, close sales contracts, and ensure all activities comply with company policies and legal requirements.
Performance Tracking: Monitor sales performance metrics and prepare detailed management reports for review.
Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in sales and business development, specifically within the medical equipment or medical consumables sector.
Leadership: Demonstrable success in leadership and team management.
Sector Expertise: Experience working with distributors is considered a significant advantage.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Travel: Willingness and ability to travel frequently across the East African region.
Salary and Benefits
Base Salary: KSh 100,000 per month
Incentives: Performance-based commissions
