A dynamically growing company specializing in the delivery of bio-organic fertilizers and plant protection products to farmers in African countries is looking for a Sales Agronomist.
Role Overview
The Sales Agronomist will focus on promoting and expanding the ECORIC biofungicide brand across key agricultural regions in Kenya. The primary objective is driving sales and promotional efforts within flower farms and tea plantations, requiring extensive travel and hands-on farm engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Growth: Promote and grow the ECORIC biofungicide brand across key agricultural regions in Kenya, with a strong focus on flower farms and tea plantations.
Fieldwork & Engagement: Travel regularly to farms for direct product promotion, demos, and hands-on farmer engagement.
Marketing & Advertising: Plan and execute marketing campaigns within the agricultural sector.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with the international team to expand market reach and drive overall sales growth.
Representation: Represent the company at exhibitions, field days, and client presentations.
Feedback Loop: Provide insights and feedback from farmers and distributors to support ongoing product development and strategy.
Requirements & Skills
Experience: Minimum 3 years of sales experience (agricultural sales experience is mandatory, preferably with flower and tea crops).
Agriculture Knowledge: Previous experience in agriculture and a technical understanding of crop protection products is highly advantageous.
Core Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Travel: Willingness and physical capacity to travel extensively to farms across targeted regions in Kenya.
Interests: Strong interest in agricultural products and sustainable farming solutions.
Attributes: Self-motivated, responsible, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
Other: Proficiency in English and basic computer literacy (emails, reporting, MS Office).

Candidates should be based in or highly familiar with the main flower and tea farming regions:
Meru, Lake Naivasha, Mount Kenya region, Timau, Nanyuki, Naivasha, Nakuru, Thika, Athi River, Isinya (Kajiado), Laikipia, Nyandarua, Kericho, Trans Nzoia, Uasin Gishu, Nairobi, Kiambu.
What We Offer
Fixed salary of KSh 40,000 + commission on personal sales.
Official employment with a 3-month probation period.
