Internships at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) are short-term academic training opportunities designed for young professionals. Interns join ILRI for a short period (usually 3 months or less, but can be up to 6 months in length) as part of their academic curriculum. Interns are expected to resume their studies upon completion of their internship.
The objective of this internship program is to help students connect academic theory to practical application, while nurturing young minds in the field of livestock agriculture.
Duties and Responsibilities
Work five days per week under the supervision and mentorship of an assigned staff member within the department or program.
Support departmental projects, research activities, or administrative duties as assigned.
Engage in learning activities and connect academic theories to practical livestock research workflows.
Requirements
Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate university degree program, with at least one full semester remaining to completion.
Through strategic partnerships, ILRI also provides internship opportunities to students enrolled in diploma and certificate programs, as well as senior high school students.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications.
Proficiency in written and spoken English.
