The Relationship Manager is responsible for managing client relationships to achieve set sales targets and wallet share, ensuring sustained business growth and profitability in the assigned customer segment. The role involves selling, cross-selling, and upselling the bank’s products and services while building long-term profitable customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Branch Strategic Input and Planning
- Contributes to the completion of the branch operational plan by preparing and implementing an individual business plan.
- Formulate and implement personal initiatives for assigned and new business portfolios to increase share of wallet.
- Prepare personal action plans that contribute to the overall branch budget.
Business Growth & Development
- Full responsibility for all product lines and business development for new and assigned business portfolios.
- Achieve growth targets for both Assets and Liabilities, ensuring income quality.
- Drive client recruitment, increased transactional income, and cross-selling of products.
- Develop new business opportunities and monitor market activities to ensure competitiveness.
- Ensure full compliance with the Bank’s Credit Policy and Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) guidelines.
- Leverage position as a trusted advisor to proactively manage Portfolio at Risk (PAR).
Marketing & Brand Management
- Build the Sidian Bank Brand to ensure the bank is top-of-mind for enterprise customers.
- Provide direction based on market analysis of local consumer trends and competitor offerings.
- Establish relationships with key clients and business influencers in the local area.
Relationship Management & Customer Experience
- Drive customer satisfaction and build a base of promoters through positive experience and advocacy.
- Achieve set scores for CSAT, CES, and Net Promoter Score (NPS).
- Minimize customer attrition by offering required solutions and proactively responding to complaints.
- Identify financial and non-financial requirements of High Net Worth (HNW) clients.
Branch Operations, Risk & Compliance
- Support branch operations and act as a branch custodian when required.
- Ensure all onboarded customers meet AML/CFT/CPF guidelines.
- Monitor customer transactions for unusual patterns and report suspicious activities to the MLRO.
- Ensure accurate data capture and timely KYC updates for all risk categories.
