Job Description
The County Government of Kitui is seeking to recruit Registered Clinical Officers II to provide essential medical services across various health facilities. The role involves clinical diagnosis, patient management, and community health support.
Responsibilities
Patient Management: Take patient histories, perform examinations, diagnose conditions, and order necessary laboratory and imaging investigations.
Diagnostic Interpretation: Interpret laboratory and imaging results to determine appropriate treatment plans.
Clinical Treatment: Treat common ailments for patients at outpatient departments or within health facilities.
Community Health: Provide community healthcare services in liaison with other healthcare professionals.
Counseling and Guidance: Guide and counsel patients, clients, and staff on various health issues.
Health Education: Sensitize patients and clients on preventive and promotive health measures.
Surgical Procedures: Carry out surgical procedures as per specific training and skill level.
Data Management: Collect and compile clinical data for reporting and analysis.
Legal and Referral: Prepare medico-legal briefs regarding clinical services and refer patients to appropriate higher-level health facilities when necessary.
Requirements and Qualifications
Must be a Citizen of Kenya.
Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery, Clinical Medicine and Community Health, or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Certificate of Registration from the relevant professional body.
Valid Professional Practice License from the relevant professional body.
