Job Description
Tharaka Nithi County Public Service Board (CPSB) is seeking to recruit qualified individuals for the position of Registered Clinical Officer (5 Posts). The Registered Clinical Officer will be responsible for providing essential medical services, managing patient care, and contributing to the overall health management within the county's outpatient and inpatient facilities.
Responsibilities
Taking history, examining, diagnosing, and treating patients with common ailments at an outpatient or inpatient health facility.
Guiding and counseling patients, clients, and staff on health issues.
Referring patients and clients to appropriate health facilities for specialized care.
Assessing, preparing, and presenting medical-legal reports.
Coaching and mentoring students on clinical attachment.
Carrying out surgical procedures as per training and skills proficiency.
Organizing health management teams and convening health management committee meetings.
Collecting and compiling data for research on clinical services issues.
Performing any other duty that may be assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements and Qualifications
Must be a Kenyan citizen.
Must be a holder of a Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery or Clinical Medicine and Community Health from a recognized institution.
Must be registered by the Clinical Officers Council.
Must possess a valid Practicing License from the Clinical Officers Council.
Must be computer literate.
