Job Description
The County Government of Kisumu is seeking to recruit qualified and competent individuals to fill the position of Medical Engineering Technologist III. This role is responsible for the professional maintenance and management of medical equipment within the county's healthcare facilities to ensure high standards of patient care and safety.
Responsibilities
Performing routine maintenance and repairs on medical equipment and instruments.
Conducting inspections and troubleshooting technical faults in various healthcare machines.
Assisting in the installation and commissioning of new medical equipment within the facility.
Providing technical guidance and support to medical staff regarding the proper use and handling of equipment.
Calibrating medical devices to ensure accuracy and compliance with required safety standards.
Maintaining detailed records of all equipment maintenance, repairs, and service activities.
Requirements for Appointment
Must be a Kenyan Citizen.
Must possess a Diploma in Medical Engineering or any other equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
Must be proficient in computer applications.
Additional Information
Candidates with foreign degrees must have them authenticated by the Commission for University Education (CUE).
Chapter 6 requirements (Ethics and Anti-Corruption) will be required only from successful applicants.
