Job Description
The Assistant Health Records and Information Management Officer III will be responsible for managing patient health records and information systems to ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and accessibility. The role involves direct patient interaction through registration and appointment scheduling, as well as technical tasks like clinical coding and data analysis.
Duties and Responsibilities
Receiving patients at the hospital and directing them to the relevant clinics.
Registering patients and booking appointments for various clinics and consultants.
Efficiently storing and retrieving medical records to support clinical care.
Gathering health data from various sources and capturing data at service points.
Ensuring the safety and absolute confidentiality of all medical records.
Balancing daily bed returns and maintaining the master index.
Scheduling patients for consultant and specialty clinics.
Assigning codes to diseases and surgical procedures according to the International Statistical Classification of Diseases and procedures in medicine.
Preparing medical records and comprehensive reports for hospital administration.
Requirements for Appointment
Must be a Kenyan Citizen.
Must hold a Diploma in Health Records and Information Management from a recognized institution.
Proficiency in computer applications.
