Kisumu County, located in Nyanza, is seeking to recruit qualified individuals for the position of Registered Clinical Officer- Anaesthetist (4 Posts). Responsibilities
Conduct pre-operative patient assessments and prepare patients for anaesthesia.
Administer anaesthetic agents to patients undergoing surgical or diagnostic procedures.
Monitor patient vital signs and depth of anaesthesia throughout the perioperative period.
Manage patient airway and respiratory functions during surgical operations.
Handle post-operative recovery, including pain management and monitoring for adverse reactions.
Maintain and calibrate anaesthesia equipment to ensure functionality and safety.
Collaborate with surgical teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of administered medications and patient responses.
Requirements for Appointment
Kenyan Citizenship.
Cumulative service period of three (3) years’ work experience at the grade of Registered Clinical Officer-Anesthetist II or in a comparable position.
Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery or Clinical Medicine and Community Health or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
Higher Diploma in Anaesthesia or any other equivalent and relevant qualifications from a recognized institution.
Certificate of registration from the Clinical Officers Council.
Valid Annual retention certificate.
Proficiency in Computer applications.
Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
