About the Role
The Records Management Assistant III is responsible for the systematic organization, storage, and retrieval of the Council's information and documents. This role ensures the integrity and security of vital records within the National Council for Children’s Services (NCCS), a State Corporation established to regulate and coordinate children's services in Kenya. The assistant handles sensitive and confidential files and ensures compliance with records management standards.
Responsibilities
Secure information, documents, files, records, and office equipment in the registry or archive.
Sort, classify, and index documents for systematic filing.
Store, update, and maintain personnel records and file indices.
Control the opening and handling of open, confidential, and secret files.
Manage the custody and maintenance of the Council’s official documents.
Plan appropriate office space and storage for physical records.
Ensure file movement records are accurately updated and maintained at all times.
Undertake any other functions as may be lawfully assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
A Diploma in Records Management, Information Management, Information Science, Library Science, or any other relevant and equivalent qualifications from a recognized Institution.
Proficiency in computer applications.
