Role Overview
As a Radiographer III, you will be responsible for providing essential diagnostic imaging services within the County Government of Kitui healthcare facilities. This role involves operating sophisticated medical imaging equipment to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients while ensuring high standards of safety and image quality.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic imaging examinations as requested by medical officers.
Ensure accurate and safe patient positioning to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
Conduct preliminary evaluations of images before they are submitted to the radiologist for formal reporting.
Assist Radiologists during specialized interventional radiology procedures where applicable.
Maintain medical imaging equipment and ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff by following radiation protection protocols.
Requirements and Qualifications
Be a Citizen of Kenya.
Hold a Diploma in Medical Imaging Sciences, Radiography, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Must be registered and licensed with the relevant regulatory body in Kenya.
Demonstrated proficiency in operating various types of imaging equipment.
Possess a certificate in computer proficiency from a recognized institution.
