Quality Assurance & Control Manager

The Quality Assurance & Control Manager will oversee and build quality management systems that ensure products meet standards created together with suppliers, the business, and in-house development engineers through inspections, audits, and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain a quality management system, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ISO 9001, GMP, or similar.
• Oversee QC procedures to detect defects, inspecting raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods.
• Lead internal and external audits, investigating quality deviations to determine root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Supervise, train, and mentor QA/QC inspectors, technicians, and laboratory staff.
• Analyze quality metrics and data to identify trends, gaps in testing, and opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with procurement and suppliers to establish material standards and monitor compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field.
• 10–15+ years in quality control or assurance, with several years in a management capacity.
• Professional certifications: Lean 6 Sigma, Certified Quality Auditor or Engineer, ISO 9001 Quality Auditor.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and data analysis software.
• Good understanding of Kenyan regulatory standards.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to communicate with senior management.
• High attention to detail and great problem-solving abilities.
