Job Description
As a Program Coordinator and M&E Officer at Lightup Impact, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating two main programs: capacity strengthening (online and in-person trainings) and networking events for our members. You will also lead data collection and analysis based on pre-existing M&E frameworks, collaborating directly with program managers, partners, and stakeholders to ensure successful execution and meaningful engagement.
Responsibilities and Duties
Program Implementation and Coordination
Coordinate logistics and administrative tasks related to program implementation.
Schedule meetings, manage email communications with training participants and partners, and coordinate online Zoom meetings.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the program lifecycle.
Work closely with the Program Manager to ensure the project workplan is implemented smoothly.
Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships
Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with program participants, partners, donors, and trainers.
Utilize regular communication, engagement, and feedback mechanisms to support stakeholders.
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting
Assist in the collection, analysis, and reporting of program data and performance indicators.
Assess progress, measure outcomes, and identify areas for improvement against set targets.
Work closely with the communications team, providing content and performance data for quarterly or annual reports.
Qualifications and Profile
Bachelor’s degree or certification/diploma in International Development, Social Sciences, Community Development, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning, Program Management, or a related discipline.
At least 1-2 years of proven experience in program coordination or project management, preferably within the nonprofit sector or community development context.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Available to travel for in-person training activities within Kenya.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite.
Experience working with a remote team and digital project management software (e.g., Asana) and Zoom is an advantage.
