Bondo Technical Training Institute (BTTI) is a newly established TVET institution constructed with funds from the Kenya Government. It is located in a serene environment conducive for learning about 5Km from Bondo town along the Bondo–Misori road.
Role Purpose
The Plumbing Workshop Attendant is responsible for the daily management and maintenance of the plumbing workshop, ensuring that trainees have the necessary resources for practical lessons and that all safety protocols are observed.
Duties and Responsibilities
Resource Management: Issue trainees with the required training resources during practical sessions to ensure that the practical trainings run smoothly.
Supervision: Supervise the trainees while in the workshop/laboratory to ensure that all health and safety procedures are strictly observed.
Workshop Maintenance: Clean the workshop and equipment in the workshop/laboratory to ensure a conducive working environment.
Security: Maintain the security of equipment and materials in the workshop/laboratory by ensuring the workshop is opened and locked at appropriate times.
Storage and Traceability: Store the workshop equipment at the right location to ensure easier traceability and security. Clearly label cabinets in the workshop/laboratory.
Inventory: Keep and maintain the plumbing inventory.
Technical Support: Provide assistance to the technician in the preparation of practical sessions by setting up apparatus/equipment required for practicals.
Academic Qualification, Skills and Work Experience
Must have at least a craft certificate/level 5 in Plumbing or Water Engineering or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Should have at least three (3) years of relevant working experience.
KCSE certificate with a minimum grade of D plain.
Hands-on experience in plumbing installations or maintenance is an added advantage.
